Before joining ADIF, Sijo held various leadership positions in technology startups and committees aimed at safeguarding the Indian Startup Ecosystem.
Sijo Kuruvilla George is the Executive Director of the Alliance of Digital India Foundation (ADIF), a think tank for India’s digital startups that liaisons between the government and the regulatory bodies. Sijo is responsible for all executive decisions and communications of the foundation.
With his wealth of experience in entrepreneurship gained from over a decade in the start-up space, Sijo is a member of the Central Government’s Science & Technology Policy Expert Committee of Entrepreneurship. He was a leading contributor to the formulation of the Science, Technology and Innovation Policy 2020.
Before joining ADIF, Sijo held various leadership positions in technology startups and committees aimed at safeguarding the Indian Startup Ecosystem. He was the Founding CEO of Startup Village, India’s first PPP Technology Business Incubator. Referred to by the Malayala Manorama as the ‘Megamind behind the treasure trove in Cochin’, Sijo is credited for bringing startups and entrepreneurship into the wider public discourse.
Sijo was invited to the first cohort of highly motivated, brilliant and inspiring minds for the Rajeev Circle Fellowships by Motwani Jadeja Family Foundation and the International Visitor Leadership Forum (IVLP), the prestigious professional exchange program of the US State Department. A major figure in the advancement of student entrepreneurship, Sijo was instrumental in the advocacy and conceptualisation of the Student Entrepreneurship Policy. He has also served as a consultant to the Kerala Startup Mission, the nodal agency for implementing the Kerala Technology Startup Policy.
Sijo’s wide-ranging experience encompasses entrepreneurship and management consulting to mentoring. Much sought after for his deeply discerning views, Sijo is one of the strongest catalysts for today’s youth to transform their ideas into possibilities.
After pursuing his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering Trivandrum, Mr. George completed his MBA from Great Lakes Institute of Management.
