About: A Section 8 non profit organisation, ADIF was founded by the likes of Sairee Chahal of SHEROES, Murugavel of Matrimony.com, Ritesh of Innov8 etc. At its core, ADIF will look to serve as a body to represent the voice of the tech startup / internet startup industry of the country and work towards the creation of favourable policy & regulatory frameworks by working with the Government.

We are pleased to invite you to our next online Panel Discussion on 20th AprilĀ from 3 - 4 PM (Tuesday) which will be on the topic Data Privacy: The Way Forward for India. To talk about data privacy and risks faced by Indian users due to the absence of a strong data protection policy framework, ADIF is bringing together experts from different walks of life for a panel discussion. The objective is to deliberate on the existing data policies in the country and how it should evolve to protect the interest of the users. The panel will dwell deeper into:
Data Privacy: What personal data should be considered private and sensitive and shouldnāt be allowed to be shared with third parties.
Transparency: Users are in the dark regarding what personal data is being collected by social media companies and with whom all this data is being shared.
Control: Who owns users personal information and should the users have the option to edit /delete their information.
Discrimination: Why does users in Europe enjoy more protection and how do we ensure similar protection for Indian users?
Road Ahead: How do we approach this issue from our country's policy perspective and how do we ensure that regulations provide privacy protection without constraining young startups?
