Microsoft is in talks with Oyo

The company is reportedly in advanced talks with the hotel chain unicorn to invest an undisclosed amount. Oyo’s valuation is expected to rise to $9 billion post the investment.

The unicorn’s founder, Ritesh Agarwal, recently disclosed that the firm is looking at a potential initial public offering (IPO).

Nykaa is preparing for an IPO

The initial public offering could value the beauty startup at over $4 billion. Falguni Nayar’s e-commerce company is looking to file its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) soon.

The firm is looking to sell about 10% of the equity, raising approximately $400 million.

Ola expanded its ESOP pool

The ride-hailing unicorn has expanded its employee stock options (ESOP) pool to Rs 3,000 crore.

In the run-up to its initial public offering (IPO), the company will also allocate another Rs 400 crore worth of stock to its employees.

Byju’s is on an acquisition spree

The ed-tech unicorn acquired education platform Great Learning for $600 million and after-school learning app Toppr for $150 million this week.

Moglix completed ESOP buyback

The B2B commerce unicorn completed employee stock options (ESOP) buyback worth $3 million also expanded its ESOP pool to $10 million, which will include over 300 employees under the programme.

Nium became a unicorn

The company formerly known as Instarem has raised $200 million this week in a Series D round at a valuation of $1 billion-plus.

Nium is South Asia’s first global business-to-business (B2B) payments unicorn.

Droom became a unicorn 

The automotive startup’s fresh round of funding took the company’s valuation to $1.2 billion.

The newly-minted unicorn plans to launch its initial public offering (IPO) next year.

ShareChat’s parent raised $145 million 

The regional language social media unicorn will be valued at $2.88 billion post the funding round.
